Spiritualist mediums use gifts such as clairaudience, clairvoyance and clairsentience to communicate with our loved ones from the spirit world. Some individuals have these spiritual gifts from birth. Whilst most others attend Awareness and Development Classes for many years. The words clairaudience, clairvoyance and clairsentience come from the French words 'Clair' meaning clear, so a clairaudient is a medium who can hear voices (audio) from our spirit friends. Whilst a clairvoyant sees spirit, and a clairsentient senses spirit. Over the years the term clairvoyant has been a general term used for all mediums/speakers. It is important to note that Spiritualism is a recognized religion. At Spiritualist Church services, the medium/speaker will form a communication link between him/herself and our loved ones in the Spirit World. Messages are then passed by the medium to our friends and loved ones in the spirit world. These communications/messages prove that our friends and loved ones survive the change known as death.
